New Project | Proximity to the city

HOUSE IN PROXIMITY TO THE BIG CITY

A carefully calibrated balance between monochrome volumes and rich textures defines the character of this interior project. Architecture here does not impose itself, but organizes space into a choreography of light, material, and tactility. The guiding principle is the creation of a functional and balanced interior environment. The kitchen is conceived as a pure geometric composition, positioned between two opposites – solid, textured walls and complete transparency. The space is framed by large-scale glazed vitrines that visually dissolve the boundary with the exterior, opening the working area toward a spacious terrace. In this way, natural light and external context become an active element of the experience. The central axis is dominated by the monolithic kitchen island – a color accent within an otherwise restrained palette. The white composite stone countertops and minimalist cabinetry fronts maintain a sense of lightness, while the contrast with the warm, dark wood tones on the ceiling creates depth and clearly defines the zone. Built-in appliances emphasize the ergonomic and functional logic of the space. The kitchen also functions as a transitional zone, ensuring a smooth flow toward the dining area. Movement is carefully orchestrated through a rhythm of light, wood, and concrete. In the living area, the large-scale library with integrated lighting acts as a sculptural focal point, unifying the space and guiding toward the next functional zones. The contrast between the warmth of the dark wood ceiling and the graphic clarity of the track lighting creates dynamism and visual tension. The entrance and guest areas continue this stylistic language of precise geometry and material tactility. Mirrored surfaces and vertical lines expand the perception of space, while integrated LED lighting adds depth and rhythm. The master bedroom completes the spatial sequence of the first floor as a quiet and intimate retreat. Soft upholsteries create a sense of comfort, while the hidden bathroom reveals itself as an architectural experiment – a seamless fusion of ceramic, glass, and wood that transforms function into an experience of privacy and personal space. The project demonstrates how contemporary interior design can achieve architectural purity without excessive decoration – through control of light, material, and proportion. Portfolio
